Services for Children

Having a child with a disability can be challenging on many levels. A&I Avenues is here to provide a range of resources and assistance to meet the individualized needs of your child with disabilities. Our cumulative 90 years of experience plus our expert team of caring case managers will work hard to find the best supports for your child. 

Services

Children With Life Limiting Illness Waiver (CLLI)

The CLLI program provides Health First Colorado benefits in the home for children with a life-limiting illness. This waiver allows you to seek curative treatment while your child is receiving palliative care.

Children's Habilitation Residential Program Waiver (CHRP)

The Children's Habilitation Residential Program Waiver (CHRP) waiver is for children whose intensive behavioral or medical needs put them at risk or in need of out-of-home placement. 

Children's Extensive Support Waiver (CES)

The Children's Extensive Support Waiver (CES) is for Children who live in their family home and have high medical and/or behavioral needs. Children on CES need almost constant line of sight supervision both day and night to stay safe.

Children's Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (CHCBS)

The Children's Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (C-HCBS) waiver is for children with significant medical needs who wish to stay in the community instead of an acute hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Early Intervention (EI)

Colorado’s early intervention system guides families along the way, in order to support infants and toddlers who need extra help developing and learning to reach their fullest potential.

What does CLLI provide in addition to Colorado Medicaid?

  • Counseling/Bereavement Services

  • Expressive Therapy

  • Massage Therapy

  • Palliative/Supportive Care

  • Respite

  • Therapeutic Life-Limiting Illness Support

Is your child eligible for CLLI? If so, they must:

  • Be under the age of 18

  • Your child must have a life-limiting illness certified by a physician

  • Your child must be at risk of institutionalization in a hospital setting

  • Your child must meet the Social Security Administration definition of disability

  • Your child's income must be less than three times the current Federal Supplemental Security Income (SSI) limit per month and their countable resources must be less than $2,000

    • *Parent income is not considered for the child's eligibility
