Children's Extensive Support Waiver (CES)

The Children's Extensive Support Waiver (CES) is for Children who live in their family home and have high medical and/or behavioral needs. Children on CES need almost constant line of sight supervision both day and night to stay safe.

Children who receive services through the CES waiver are also eligible for all Health First Colorado covered services as long as they are not duplicative.

Who is eligible for services?

To be eligible for the CES waiver your child must:

  • Be under the age of 18

  • Have a Developmental Disability Determination

  • Need support with activities of daily living

  • Need almost constant supervision as determined by the CES application

  • Have a condition which meets the Social Security disability standard

  • Meet the waiver financial requirements
