Children's Home and Community-Based Services Waiver (C-HCBS)
The Children's Home and Community-Based Services Waiver
(C-HCBS) waiver is for children with significant medical needs who wish to stay in the community instead of an acute hospital or skilled nursing facility.
If your child receives services through the C-HCBS waiver, your child is also eligible for all Health First Colorado covered services.

Who is eligible for services?
To be eligible for the C-HCBS waiver your child must:

Be under the age of 18

Need support with activities of daily living

Need medical care that would typically be provided in either a skilled nursing facility and/or an acute hospital

Have a condition which meets the Social Security disability standard

Meet the waiver financial requirements
